How do I get started?

Create an account, then complete the File Now intake form. It takes most people about 20–30 minutes, and your progress saves as you go so you can finish later if you get interrupted.

Do we ever have to meet in person?

No. Everything is virtual — intake, document upload, review, signatures, and e-filing. We serve clients in all 50 states.

What documents do I need?

Start with the Document Checklist. At minimum you'll need photo ID, Social Security cards for everyone on the return, your income forms, and last year's return if you have it.

How long until I get my refund?

The IRS typically issues most refunds within 21 days of accepting an e-filed return with direct deposit. Returns claiming certain credits are held longer by law. Use the Track Refund page for the official status.

What if I missed the filing deadline?

File anyway — the penalties grow the longer you wait, and if you're owed a refund there may be no penalty at all. We handle prior year returns regularly and can help you get current.

What happens if I'm audited or get an IRS notice?

If it concerns a return we prepared, we read the notice, explain it, and help you respond at no extra charge. That's part of our guarantee.

Can you amend a return someone else prepared?

Yes. Choose 'amended return' in the intake form and upload the original return along with the documents that changed.

Is my information safe?

Yes. Sensitive details like your Social Security number and bank information are encrypted, your documents are stored in private storage only you and your preparer can reach, and the entire site runs over an encrypted connection.
